E. Marguerite Robinson
June 23, 1919 – June 6, 2007

Elsie Marguerite Robinson, 87 years of Monroe, MI passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 4:10 PM in the Lutheran Home where she had resided for the past 2-½ years. She had been seriously ill for the past month. Marguerite was born June 23, 1919 in Toledo, OH the daughter of the late George H. and Elsie (Cannings) Phillips. On November 20, 1937 she married James A. Robinson in Toledo, OH. Sadly he preceded her in death on November 13, 1985. Marguerite worked at Woolworth's and was a Monroe Evening News Carrier. She also volunteered at The Lutheran Home. Marguerite is survived by two daughters; Barbara (Don) Wolfenbarger and Bonnie Merrill both of Monroe, MI. and two sons; James (Linda) Robinson of Marion, MI and Jerry (Karen) Robinson of Monroe, MI. A sister Shirley Bomia of Maybee, MI. 13 cherished grandchildren, 23 cherished great grandchildren, and 5 cherished great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Robert Robinson at birth, a grandson Christopher Trosin, and three brothers; Arthur, Paul and Robert Phillips. Visitation for Marguerite will be held from 3-9 PM Friday at the Bacarella Funeral Home. She will lie in state Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Larry K. Loree Sr. Pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery in Petersburg, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Home, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
