Doyle L. Williamson, 73 years, of Monroe, Michigan passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born December 26, 1950 in Monroe, Doyle was the son of Robert and Josephine (Marchese) Williamson. He married Lillian Pietszak on September 27, 1975.
Doyle honorably served his country in the U.S Army from 1969 to 1972. He later went on to work as a security guard for Mercy Memorial Hospital for many years before his retirement in 2004. He was a member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Doyle enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially with his grandchildren, he would often take them for nature walks or picnics. He had a passion for fishing. He also had a great love for his two dogs, Danny and Max.
Doyle is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lillian; three children, Stephan (Connie Wohlgamuth) Pietszak, of Monroe, Sheree (Jordan Harvey) Williamson, of Newport, and Chrystal (Jerry) O'Neal, of Warren; seven grandchildren, Preston and Presley Pietszak, Hadleigh (Ryan) Van-Barneveld, Cameron and Madison Keesee, Brionnah Williamson, and Lei-Lei O'Neil; and one great grandchild, Frankie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, James Williamson; two brothers, Robert and Mike Williamson; and a brother-in-law, Vic Carroll.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and private services have been held.
