Douglas Alan Premoe, age 56, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at Mercy Memorial Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Doug was born March 22, 1953 in Monroe, MI the son of Ernest Donald and Betty Ann (Masserant) Premoe. Doug attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1971 graduate of Monroe High School. Doug was employed as a Tool and Die Machinist by Ford Motor Company's Woodhaven Stamping Plant in Woodhaven, MI for 30 years from which he retired in 2007. Doug truly enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at his cabin in Harrison, MI. Doug is survived by his beloved mother; Betty Ann (Masserant) Premoe of Monroe, 4 loving children; Nicolas A. Premoe of Monroe, Tara (Matthew) Bosley of Hartland, MI, Alisa C. Premoe of Lewisville, TX and Emily R. (Nicholas) Gotts of Tipton, MI, a cherished grandson; Drew Bosley, a brother; David V. (Kathy M.) Premoe of Monroe, a sister Sheryl A. Skulley of Edina, MN and his companion Ellen Lovegrove of Grand Blanc, MI. Sadly, Doug was preceded in death by his father and a son in law James Skulley. In keeping with Doug's wishes cremation and has taken place. The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, is assisting his family with funeral arrangements.
