Dorothy June Goetz, resident of Monroe, Michigan, passed away on September 16, 2022, at the age of 101. She was born at the family farm on Cake Road in Dundee, Michigan on June 23, 1921 from the union of Roy Hartman and Ethel Heiser.
June graduated from Dundee High School in 1939 and The Monroe College of Cosmetology in 1963. She married Wilson Eugene Peters Jr. on August 30, 1940, who later died in WWII. Three children were born of this union, Jean M. (Neil) Fletcher of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Dr. Gerald A. (Bonnie) Peters of Bedford Virginia, and the late Jane K. (still living, Ted) Fredrickson. Beloved sister of Mary (the late Bob) Corbin, Doris (the late Wes) Murdock, and the late Richard (still living, Kate) Hartman.
On May 21, 1946 she married Paul N. Goetz, a daughter, Janice M. (Allen) Wilcox was born of this union. In addition, June is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be held.
Memorial Donations are suggested to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where June was a lifelong member. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation and burial arrangements.
