Dorla A. Vajcner, age 85 of Monroe, passed away on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, OH.
Dorla was born on January 30th, 1940, in Monroe and was the daughter of John and Vivian (Knaggs) Atkinson. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1958 and married Thomas A. Vajcner on May 21st, 1960, at St. Michael Catholic Church. Together, they raised 6 children.
Dorla worked in customer service at the Meijer in Monroe for 10 years. Her hobbies and interests included playing bingo, bowling, puzzles, spending time with her family, and her canine companion Charlie.
Dorla is survived by her children, Timothy (Tammy) Vajcner of Midland, Becky Stadler of Monroe, Bonnie Nygro of Monroe, Terry (Rebecca) Vajcner of Ida, Ted (Michelle) Vajcner of Monroe, Todd (Jill) Vajcner of Dundee, 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Dorla was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter Leah.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, October 8th from 3-8pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, where a service will be held on Thursday, October 9th at 11am by pastor, Rev. Fr. Kishore Battu, of St. Michael Catholic Church followed by a burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
