Obituary

Doris Dee McBee, 65, passed peacefully away on July 28, 2009. She had been ill for one year and under hospice care for three weeks. Doris was born Doris Dee Davis in Toledo, Ohio, on May 30, 1944, where she spent her childhood years. She lived in Monroe, Michigan most recently where she raised her family. Doris worked at the Lutheran Home in Monroe for the last eleven years and enjoyed her friends and co-workers there. She also enjoyed quilting, crafting and her beloved dog, Buffy. She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer McBee of Ypsilanti and Mari (Jim) Treece of Monroe, two grandchildren, Tyler Nadeau of Newport and Alison Treece of Monroe, one sister, Mardi Schultz of Toledo, and a dear close friend, Frank Barazsu. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Margaret Davis of Toledo and a daughter, Deborah Dee (McBee) Nadeau, who passed away on July 22, 2009. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, and on Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 11:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Memorials may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
