Donna B. England, age 76 of Monroe, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 16, 2023. She passed in her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Born February 9, 1946 in Monroe, Donna was the daughter of the late Philip and Bernice (Burt) Giamanco. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1964 and later married Floyd G. England on December 1, 1972 at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.
As a cook and assistant manager, Donna had a long career in the food/restaurant industry. She had been employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald's and Nortel Lanes before retiring in 1999.
Donna was a member of Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church where she formerly served as Women's Ministry Leader. She was also a member of the Women's Bowling Association and Youth Bowling Association. In addition to bowling, Donna enjoyed doing crafts, scrapbooking, reading, and all time spent with her grand babies.
Donna is survived by her husband Floyd; six children, Cindy Hurst of Monroe, Terry Hastings of Taylor, Floyd (Melissa) England of Monroe, Tonya Moyer of Monroe, Chrissy Yavorsky of Monroe, and Amy England of Monroe; a brother, Philip Giamanco of St. Cloud, FL; 14 grandchildren: Chayson, Christopher, Whitney, Dalton, Nicole, Jon, Jessica, David, Lydia, Teisha, Josh, Alyssa, Tyler, and Lorine; and 20 great-grand babies.
In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie England, and 5 infant siblings.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20th at Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21st. Rev. Jake Clawson, pastor of Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church will officiate followed by burial at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the church where Donna worshipped her God.
