Dennis "Denny" Michael Brennan, age 74 of Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Hampton Manor of Dundee after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Denny was born February 12, 1950 in Monroe, Michigan, the son of the late Robert and Joan (Raney) Brennan. He graduated from Monroe Catholic Central High School in 1968 and received an associate degree from Monroe County Community College. He was employed by Ford Motor Company as an engine calibrator for 33.5 years until retiring in 2005.
Denny was a very social person and loved to talk about a variety of topics. He enjoyed drag racing, hunting, fishing, trap/skeet shooting, Michigan athletics, Detroit Tigers baseball, and the Red Wings. He enjoyed his monthly high school reunion breakfast gatherings and his weekly visits from friends Dan Gentner and Gary Flowers. He loved his grandchildren most of all and they were his pride and joy.
Denny is survived by two children, Rob (Lindsay) Brennan of Saline, MI and Sean (Colleen) Brennan of Cave Creek, AZ; siblings Diane (Rick) Grassley, and Tom (Lynn) Brennan, both of Monroe; five grandchildren, Dominic, Madelyn, Macy, Dylan, and Reese.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2nd at Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Rev. Fr. David Burgard, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
