Delores B. McComas, age 86, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in her home surrounded by her family.
Delores was born November 25, 1939 in Monroe, she was the daughter of James Edward and Bernice Violet (Freeland) Stump. She was married to Laurel Cline McComas, sadly he passed away April 3, 2004.
She was a 1959 graduate of Monroe High School. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and going to the casino. She loved her grandchildren and treasured the time that she spent with them.
Delores worked for Halloway Construction as a machine operator until her retirement in 2003 and belonged to Local 941.
She is survived by four children, Charles Brian (Sharon) Stump, Gary Wayne (Robin) Stump, Robin Kay Stump and Jamie Stump all of Monroe; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Monroe.
