David G. Pettinari, 56, of Monroe, Michigan passed away on November 1, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Monroe, Michigan.
David was born on May 21st, 1955 in New London, CT. the son of the late George and Dorothy Pettinari.  David Graduated in 1973 from New London High School, received a Bachelors Degree from Connecticut College and his juris doctor Degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy graduating Magna Cum Laude in May of 2000.  He was admitted to the Michigan Bar that year and was employed as an attorney in the legal department of DTE Energy.
On August 6, 1983 David married Pamela Lancaster at the Harkness Chapel on the grounds of Connecticut College in New London.  She predeceased him on June 3, 2010.
David is survived by his sister Donna (Bruce) Rinehart and niece and godchild Morgan E. Rinehart of New London, his in-laws Spencer and Pearl Lancaster of New London and his brother-in-laws Spencer Lancaster Jr. of Norwich and Robert (Helen) Lancaster of New London and his sister-in-laws Gilda Butler of Groton, Margaret (Harold) Jones of New London and Tricia (Gerald) Lee of Windsor along with a host of Lancaster nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 19, 2011 at Saint Joseph's Church, 17 Squire Street, New London, Connecticut at 10:00 am.  Interment of his ashes will follow at St Mary's Cemetery.
His family will receive friends at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 3rd at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road in Monroe, Michigan, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.
