David Patrick Long, age 39, of Monroe passed away in his home Thursday, October 20, 2022 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
David was born July 5, 1983 in Monroe, he was the son of Corey A. and Tina K. (Romas) Long.
He was a 2001 graduate of Jefferson High School and attended the welding program at Monroe County Community College.
He was employed by Ford Motor Company at the Dearborn Diversified Plant.
Dave enjoyed playing guitar, riding motorcycles, fast cars, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, attending Tigers games, and spending time with family and friends.
His is survived by his mother, Tina K. Long of Monroe; his grandparents, Becky and Austin Long of Monroe and Sheila Romas of Bradenton, FL; three siblings, Jessica (Stefanie) Candea of Dearborn, Corey A. Long Jr. of Monroe and Cody Long of Temperance and one nephew Cody Long Jr.
He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Marvin and Reatha Meyer.
In accordance with Dave's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
