Obituary

David S. Foster will be missed by his family and friends.  Dave was involved in faith evangelism and his personal ministry was helping and encouraging others.  He was "Pa Pa" to his 5 grandchildren and to his nieces Angie Hudkins and Shelly Satran and their children. Dave established Foster Realtors, Inc. and had owned and operated the business since 1966.   His son David E. Foster is president of the company and will continue to operate the business.
Dave was known by his clients, friends and family as a "quiet gentleman" always willing to help folks with their needs.  Many people around the county tell countless stories of Dave Foster helping them find find their "dream" home.
Dave was born September 21, 1937 in Monroe, MI to Stella and Elden Foster.  He married Faye Whited on February 9, 1957.
He graduated from Monroe High School in 1956 and also received a R.A.M. (Realtors Alumni of Michigan) designation from the University of Michigan.
Dave was active in his community for many years before he began spending 8 months of the year in Naples, Florida where he co-owned Premier Title Company.
While in Monroe he was a member of the Monroe County Association of Realtors and past president, member of Monroe Rotary Club and past president, Monroe Boat Club, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church.  In his younger years Dave was an avid snow and water skier.  He loved boating and spent many hours on Lake Erie and boating in Naples.  He was a family man and loved spending time with his family, boating, picnicking, vacationing and just enjoying time together.  Dave and his wife Faye have traveled throughout the United States and abroad.
In Florida, Dave was a member of the First Baptist Church of Naples and active in a men's group "Band of Brothers" and also active in the St. Matthews House Charity.
Dave is survived by his wife Faye, son, David E (Debbie) and daughter Julie A. Parks (Dr. Bill).  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Laura Foster, McKenzie Parks, Tim Foster, and Lindsey
Foster and Kylie Parks.   1 sister, Signey Michael and many nephews and nieces.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jim and Wilma Alban.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Jim Foster and Mary Jane Sisung.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army "Campus of Hope" or to the First Baptist Academy.
Bacarella Funeral home will be in charge of the services with visitation being Tuesday, May 18 from  4 p.m. -  8 p.m., Wednesday, May 19 from 1 p.m. -  8 p.m. and the funeral services will be at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 20 where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. with the services being at 11 a.m. with Reverend Evans Bentley, Dr. John Piippo and Rev. Joseph F. Atkinson
