David L. Etue, age 81, of Temperance, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family.

David was born October 10, 1944 in Monroe, he was the son of Raymond and Maude (Curley) Etue. He married Saundra L. Willis July 23, 1965.

He was a 1963 graduate of Monroe High School.

He worked for La-Z-Boy and Michigan Gas Utilities before starting at Ford Motor Company Monroe Plant, where he spent 30 years before his retirement in 2002.

He and his wife enjoyed traveling in their RV, visiting many places throughout the United States and spending most winters in Florida. He also loved to golf and enjoyed street rods.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Saundra; a son, Derek (Jayne) Etue of Temperance; three beautiful grandchildren, Addyson, Alexis and Tyler.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra Trombley.

In accordance with David’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions in David’s memory are suggested to Humane Society of Monroe County.
