David C. “Bo” Bollenberg, age 59, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in Richburg, South Carolina, while there on a business trip.

Dave was born on June 23, 1967, in Monroe, Michigan, to Don and Patricia (Curson) Bollenberg. He married the love of his life, Dr. Jamie Conant, on October 4, 2020.

A proud 1985 graduate of Monroe High School, Dave enjoyed playing on the varsity baseball team. After graduating, he continued playing softball in recreational leagues and went on to earn his associate degree from the University of Toledo.

Dave dedicated his career to the glass industry, working for Guardian Industries as a technical expert in float glass manufacturing. He was highly respected for his knowledge and expertise, helping plants improve performance and solving complex problems. His work took him to many places around the world, allowing him to visit 20 different countries. While some of his travels were for work, Dave always made time to explore, experience the local sights, and enjoy the places he visited.

Outside of work, Dave loved staying active and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, spending time “up north,” and making memories with family and friends. He had a love for travel and adventure and enjoyed making the most of every place life took him.

Most of all, Dave cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Jamie Conant; his two children, Peyton (Hayden) Bergmooser of Toledo and Alec Bollenberg of Monroe; and his extended family and many friends who will deeply miss his presence, humor, and friendship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Patricia Bollenberg; his brother, Mark Bollenberg; and his sister, Shelly Bollenberg Sleath.

In accordance with Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family.
