Darwin C. Noel, age 80 of Dundee, MI, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025 at Medilodge of Monroe.
Born September 10, 1945 in Newport, MI, Darwin was the son of the late Earl and Erma (Hoppert) Noel.
Darwin served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later married Mary S. Martin on May 20, 1983 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Newport. Together they raised three children.
Whether he was building, repairing, or delivering something, Darwin was no stranger to hard work. He owned and operated Noel Pallet for over 20 years and also kept busy doing seasonal landscaping and snow removal.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Noel of Dundee; his children, Mary (Hans) Sommer of Wixom, MI, Steven (Melissa) Noel of Dundee, and Michael (Katey) Noel of Williamsburg, VA; 3 siblings, Shirley (Tom) Jay, Grace (Bud) Coch, and Linda LaVelle, all of Monroe; 8 grandchildren: Nicholas, Kyleigh, Gabriella, Alexa, Sophia, Lydia, Adalyn, and Nora.
In addition to his parents, Darwin was preceded in death by siblings, Frank and Donald Noel, and infant twin siblings, Lawrence and Florence Noel.
Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31st at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Francisco Rodecki, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wayne, MI will officiate followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Newport.
