Daniel J. Gardetto, age 66, of Carleton, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Angela Hospice Care Facility in Livonia, Michigan.
Born April 5, 1957 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dan was the son of the late Dominick J. and Shirley R. (Ray) Gardetto. He was a 1975 graduate of Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Dan furthered his education and received his BBA from Penn State in 1979 and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984.
On May 3, 2019, Dan married Patricia A. Charles at Divine Child Catholic Church in Dearborn, Michigan.
Dan was employed by Ford Motor Company for 31 years and held various Finance and Treasury positions throughout his career. He retired as a Finance Director in 2015.
He was a member of Carleton United Methodist Church where he was the Finance Committee Chair and served as a member of the Church Council.
Dan is survived by his wife, Patricia; three children: Pamela D. (Kevin) Czerney of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Nicholas J. (Kiley) Gardetto of Canton, Michigan, and Evan C. Gardetto of Berkley, Michigan; two grandchildren: Elyse and Jack Czerney and a brother Edward C. Gardetto of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
On Wednesday, June 21, 2023 he will lie in state at 10:00 am at Carleton United Methodist Church, 11435 Grafton Rd., Carleton, MI, 48117, where funeral services celebrating Dan's life will begin at 11:00 am. Private interment will be held at Michigan Memorial Park.
