"We Love You Daniel"
Daniel Joseph Cerrone, 37 years, of Monroe, Michigan passed away in Cheboygan, Michigan on Saturday, January 17, 2015.
Born March 22, 1977 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Dan is the son of Giuseppe "Joe" and Lori M. (Calcat) Cerrone. Dan moved to Monroe in 1993, was a 1995 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Monroe County Community College.
Dan served his country honorable and proudly in the United States Air Force. He worked as a technician for AT&T in the Monroe area.
On April 1, 2001 Dan married his beloved wife Iren at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroe.
To say Dan had a zest for life would be an understatement. A very artistic person, Dan enjoyed music, especially jazz, and was an excellent musician and loved playing the saxophone with family and friends. He also played in Monroe's Big Band. Dan was enjoyed racing cars, some of his other hobbies include; traveling, painting, skiing, scuba diving, and woodworking. He was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing soccer. Dan was always the life of the party, enjoyed a good cigar, and lived life on the fast track. Once you met Dan, you knew you had a friend. More than anything Dan loved his family and was the greatest dad ever.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife Iren, his two cherished children: Nickolas Daniel Cerrone and Marina Lena Cerrone, his caring parents: Giuseppe "Joe" and Lori Cerrone of Monroe, three siblings: Flavio A., Alessio A. and Vanessa M. Cerrone, all of Monroe and a treasured nephew: Nikko G. Cerrone.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 3-8 pm in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161, where the VFW Post 1138 will conduct military honors at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will go to establish an education trust for the children.
