D. Daniel Parker, of Monroe, Michigan, passed away on October 23, 2023 at the age of 86. He was born on August 11, 1937 to Norris and Lena Parker in Tazewell, Tennessee.
After graduating from Monroe High School in 1955, Dan entered the workforce and became a successful tool and die maker and businessman. He founded Monroe Mold & Machine in 1977 to provide well-crafted, high quality blow molds and auxiliary tooling, owning the company for 20 years. Dan also enjoyed woodworking, collecting coins, traveling, boating and spending time with family and friends.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Lena Parker; his brothers George and Jack Parker; his son Keith Parker; and other relatives. He is survived by his partner of 47 years, Aggie Lehr; his brother Donald Parker; his sister Joyce Kominek; his son Kent Parker; his daughter Kimberly Wood; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Family and friends may visit from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3rd at Bacarella Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. in celebration of Dan's life. Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, Michigan, or to any hospice organization of the donor's choice.
