On Sunday, August 15, 2021, Cynthia Ann (Nickles) Parran, 78, of Monroe, passed away at Fountain View of Monroe surrounded by her family. The daughter of Earl and Edith (Leppeck) Nickles, she was born on December 7, 1942 in Monroe. She married Richard Parran September 22, 1962 at St. John's Catholic Church in Monroe. She enjoyed meeting with people, spending time with her close group of friends, cheering her grandchildren on, and watching her cowboy movies.
She was a graduate of Monroe High School, Class of 1961 and earned her nursing license from Ann Arbor Practical Nurse Center in 1970. She worked 20 years as a nurse for Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1991. She then worked eight years for Jo-Ann Fabrics until 1999. Cindy also volunteered and dedicated many years with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a Den Leader. She was a life-long member of St. John Catholic Church in Monroe.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, father, Earl, her mother, Edith; and two sisters, Barbara Bezeau and Earleen Nickles.
