Corey Michael Carrabino, 49 years of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
Born May 7, 1973 in Monroe, Corey was the son of John S. and Robin G. (Grunow) Carrabino. He attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1991 graduate of Monroe High School.
Twenty-one years ago, Corey met, fell in love with and was engaged to the love of his life Deanna L. Dolezal.
Corey was employed as a journeyman machinist for Conrail for 12 years and for the past two years for DRM at the Port of Monroe.
Corey could fix or repair anything, from watches to cars, to cranes, to air conditioners and everything in and between. Corey enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting, especially with his two boys. He also had his special places in Monroe where he hunted for Morel Mushrooms. Corey will be remembered as a fun loving, kind man, with a huge heart and a love for family.
Corey is survived by his loving fiancé, Deanna, their two cherished sons: Caedin J. and Kyler G. Carrabino, his caring parents, John and Robin Carrabino, all of Monroe, three siblings: Heather Dawn (Corey) Bellino of Temperance, Christopher J. Carrabino of Monroe and Nicole (Sean) Carrabino – Murphy of Port St. Lucie, FL, nephews: his Godson, Ethan Bellino, Parker Carrabino, Samuel Carrabino – Murphy and Joseph Murphy and a niece, Mariah Bellino, and aunts, uncles, many cousins and his fur baby Sophie. Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents: Sam and Carmella Carrabino, Sr., Robert Grunow and Bernadine Grunow and his uncle, Sam Carrabino, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 2:00 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161 where funeral services celebrating Corey's life will begin at 7:00 pm. Deacon Michael Stewart will officiate. Interment will be private.
