Connie Denise Allerton, 36, of Monroe, MI, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Connie was born October 25, 1973, to Bobby (Danny) and Addie (Bernice) (Chadwell) Conner of Monroe, MI. Connie was a 1991 graduate of Dundee High School and received her Associates of Science Degree from Monroe County Community College. She was united in marriage to Adam Allerton on September 10, 1999. On December 21, 2001, Connie and Adam welcomed their beautiful daughter into the world to complete their family. Connie was very active in Church from a young age, she loved to sing and play in the orchestra, work in Bible School, go on mission trips and in 1994 she went to Opp, Alabama, for 10 weeks as a summer missionary. Connie was a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church of Monroe. On December 28, 2001, Connie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant on March 22, 2002, and was later declared cancer free. She struggled with her health until passing. Connie is survived by her husband Adam, their daughter, her parents Danny and Bernice Conner, a sister Cathy Conner of Monroe, her mother in law Edith Wright of Monroe, her brother in law Aaron Allerton, her grandmother June Conner of Harrogate, TN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe on Wednesday from 2-8 PM and on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 3:00 PM until funeral services celebrating her life at 6:00 PM also at the Bacarella Funeral Home. The Rev. Duane Ware pastor of Heritage Baptist Church and the Rev. Ken Cole will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Connie's family to assist with medical expenses.
