Colleen Victoria Sievert, 92 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in her home.
Born August 18, 1928 in Madison, Wisconsin, Colleen was the daughter of the late Luther and Florence (Scofield) Moore. Her family moved to Monroe when Colleen was a child and she attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1946 graduate of Monroe High School
On June 14, 1948 Colleen married her beloved husband, Robert Edwin Sievert in Monroe. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 20, 2004 after 55 years of marriage.
Colleen enjoyed crocheting, cooking, canning, and tending to her flower garden. Colleen worked as a seamstress for Kline's Department Store. She also was a wonderful artist and for many years painted black and white photos for Everett Payette, transforming them to beautiful color photos.
Colleen will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family.
Colleen is survived by seven loving children; Edwin L. Sievert of Bradenton, FL, Victoria A. (Robert) Lynch of Howell, MI, Janie L. Sievert of Monroe, Randy R. Sievert of Monroe, Jody K. (Matthew) Grancitelli of Monroe, Annette L. Newkirk of Naples, FL, and Tamie Sue (Gary) O'Harrow of Dundee, MI, 18 cherished grandchildren 32 treasured great grandchildren, and four brothers: Lemond Moore, Roland (Betty) Moore, Dennis Moore and Gary Moore.
In addition to her parents and husband, Colleen was preceded in death by her daughter Judy K. Cole and 8 brothers and sisters.
In keeping with Colleen's wishes, private visitation and funeral services will be held at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park.
