Cloyce E. "Pete" Post, 68, of Carleton died peacefully at home in West Branch on June 20, 2015, surrounded by loving wife Sue and family, in the care of Heartland Hospice of West Branch.
Pete was born Feb. 4, 1947, to George and Charlotte (Eby) Post. He retired from Local Union 365, and lived in Ogemaw County for seven years. He was a member of the Dundee Sportsman's Club, and he loved NASCAR, camping, hunting, visiting friends and taking long walks with Jackie, his best friend.
He is survived by siblings, Ernest and Liz Post, Eugene and Marie Post, Roger and Rosie Post, twin sister Joyce and Gary Stealgraeve and Daniel and Barb Post; children, Brian Post, Brad Post, Robert Brent Jr. and Tracy Brent; grandchildren, Robert Brent III, Gary Simmons Jr., Ashley Brent, Rheanna Simmons, Cole Lewis, Drake Post, Logan Post, RaeLynn Post, Bella Rose Post and Braxton Ferguson.
To truly honor Pete, we will always remember him.
At his request, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place at the Bacarella Funeral Home on Sunday, June 28 from 11 AM - 2 PM, with a memorial service to commemorate his life taking place at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to the Heartland Hospice of West Branch.
