Christopher G. Sweat, 44 years, of Monroe, MI went home to be with his Lord on Friday, June 18, 2010.
Chris was born July 13, 1965 in Monroe, MI the son of Ray O. and Barbara M. (Jackson) Sweat. Chris attended both Raisinville and St. Mary's Elementary Schools. He then went on to graduate from Monroe Catholic Central High School in 1983. Chris was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Chris worked as a machinist for Johnson Controls in Monroe.
Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing and working out. Chris also enjoyed watching and attending all types of sporting events.
Most of all Chris enjoyed his family. He is survived by his beloved parents; Ray and Barbara Sweat of Monroe, 2 loving brothers; Gregory R. (Cannina) Sweat and Mitchell R. (Stephanie) Sweat both of Monroe, 2 loving sisters; his twin sister, Aleece M. (John) Kolnitys of Taylor, MI and Marcy R. (Anthony) Leone of Monroe. Also surviving are 10 cherished nieces and nephews. Sadly he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe where a scripture service will be held at 6:00 PM. On Wednesday, June 30, 2010 he will lie in state at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2996 W. Labo Rd. in Carleton, MI from 9:00 AM until Mass of the Resurrection celebrating his life at 10:00 AM. Fr. Robert Bauer will be the celebrant.
