Obituary

Christopher J. Cicero, 34 years, a life long member of the Monroe Community went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 15, 2008. Chris was born on July 13, 1974 in Monroe, MI the son of Ralph J. and Lila B. (Gray) Cicero Jr. Chris was a 1993 graduate of Monroe High School where he played varsity tennis and lettered all four years. After high school Chris went on to attend both Owens Tech and Monroe County Community College. On June 13, 1998 Chris married the former Denise M. Prewitt at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Monroe, Fr. Donald Hanchon performed the ceremony. Chris was employed as a production worker at Ford Motor Company in Monroe for 2 years, he then transferred to Auto Alliance International in Flat Rock, MI where he was employed for the past 6 years. Chris was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe. Chris was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying all types of athletics, especially playing tennis and following the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers. Chris is survived by his loving wife Denise, his precious children; Nicholas James and Lindsay Kay Cicero both at home, his parents Ralph and Lila of Monroe, his brother Adam D. (Sarah) of Monroe, his sister Stephanie Jean Cicero of Monroe, his in laws Eddie and Diane Prewitt of Monroe and his grandmother in law Myrtle Prewitt of Monroe and a host of nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his brother Jeremy B. Cicero and his grandparents. Visitation for Chris will be held on Monday from 4-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home. On Tuesday, August 19, 2008 he will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe from 10 AM until Mass of the Resurrection celebrating his life at 11 AM. Fr. Wm Fisher pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Fr. Michael Quaine will concelebrate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to a trust fund benefiting Chris's Children.
