Charlotte Marie Morris, age 81, of Monroe, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 in her home surrounded by family under the care of hospice.
Charlotte was born August 21, 1942 in Monroe, she was the daughter of Roy and Mollie L. (Parker) Price. She married John S. Morris, Jr. November 19, 1960 at St. John Catholic Church, Monroe.
She was a 1960 graduate of Monroe High School.
Charlotte was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where she worked in the office for many years. She had also worked at Wrigley and Triangle Lunch, which her parents owned.
She enjoyed doing crafts such as quilting, cross stitch, painting and stain glass, she was a true artisan.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 63 years, John; four children, Cynthia Marie (John Kevin) Thompson of York, SC , Winifred Lynn (Kevin) Morris of Monroe, John Sydney (Tracy) Morris, III of Chandler, Az and Jeffrey Scott (Kris) Morris of Toledo; a sister, Kathy (Sidney) Johnson of Smyrna, TN; nine grandchildren, Maxwell McKee, Cameron Morris, Molly McKee, Rachel Wildstein, Meghan Morris, Sydney Morris, Morgan Morris, Zachary Morris and Parker Morris and six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle with Deacon Michael Stewart officiating. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
