Obituary

Charles M. Wells, 60 years, of Trenton, MI passed away, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Spectrum Health Center – Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Chuck had been in poor health and afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis since 2003. Chuck was born November 8, 1949 in Dearborn, MI the son of the late Seward Milton and Viola (Baniel) Wells. Chuck grew up in Lincoln Park and was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln Park High School. Chuck served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from January 1968 to January 1972. On June 1, 1972 in Lincoln Park, MI Chuck married his beloved wife Cynthia Sue Snow. Sadly she preceded him in death on April 8, 2008. After serving his country Chuck began selling life insurance products for National Life Insurance Company until 1984. He then went to work for Northwest Airlines where he was an airplane custodian for 15 years. Chuck was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and enjoyed collecting die cast automobiles. Chuck is survived by his mother in law; Geraldine Snow of Monroe, his aunt Wilma Fox of Monroe and his cousins Julie and Phillip Perkins of Temperance, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 beginning at 12 noon, in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Heath S. Hunter associate pastor of North Monroe Street Church of God will officiate and the VFW Post 1138 will conduct military honors. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
