Charles Savon Roberts, 16 years, of Luna Pier, MI was welcomed into the arms of God on Thursday, March 3, 2011.
Savon was born March 18, 1994 in Lawrenceville, GA, the son of Charles Roberts and Shannon L. Lorentz.
Savon attended Herd Road Elementary School and then Mason Middle School where he enjoyed playing football. He was currently a sophomore at Mason High School in Erie, MI.
Savon loved being outside where he enjoyed camping, fishing and working on his truck. Savon was also very handy around the house tending to anything that needed fixing. He was a true homebody and loved taking care of his grandma Gloria Ann. Savon was a kind hearted young man who loved his family and friends.
Savon is survived by his beloved grandmother Gloria Ann Lorentz, whom he made his home with in Luna Pier, his loving mother Shannon L. Lorentz of Luna Pier, his father Charles Roberts of Duluth, GA, his 3 cherished siblings; Michael Roberts of Duluth, GA, Chandler Lorentz and Brianna McGee whom also make their home with grandma in Luna Pier, his grandfather Mal Lorentz of Duluth, GA, his aunt Kim Ebron, uncles; Robby Sarratt, Barry Head and Ray Geiman and 5 cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe, (734) 241-4600 where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon. The Rev. Kenneth Steffes pastor of Luna Pier Baptist Church will officiate.
