Charles Daniel Gibson, 65 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in his home.
Born November 18, 1959 in Monroe, Dan was the son of Charles N. and Marie S. (DiSabatino) Gibson. He was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended Monroe Public Schools.
Dan worked as a heavy machine operator for various construction firms throughout the country. He was also a horticulturalist and worked for several landscaping firms.
Dan enjoyed building projects, woodworking, wood carving, making dulcimers, fishing, gardening, classical music and rock 'n roll. Most of all Dan enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Dan is survived by his loving daughter, Lacy D. Gibson of Oklahoma City OK, three cherished grandchildren: Trinity, Elise, and Connor, his caring parents, Charlie and Marie Gibson of Monroe, his sister, Dawn Marie Simpson of Rose City, MI and his longtime partner and friend Lisa Simmons.
Dan was preceded in death by two siblings: William "Red" Gibson, and Leigh Anne St. Bernard.
In keeping with Dan's wishes cremation will be held and no services are planned.
Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, is assisting Dan's family with funeral arrangements.
