Chad A. Varner, age 37 of Newport, MI, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital (Corewell Health) in Trenton, MI.
Born September 23, 1985 in Monroe, Chad was the son of Gene and Theresa (Russell) Varner. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 2004 and earned a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo in 2010. On July 20, 2012, Chad married the love of his life, Kayla D. Howard in Taylor, MI. Their union was blessed with three beautiful boys who were his pride and joy.
Chad was currently employed as a Technical Specialist at Chrysler Dundee Engine Plant. He was a member of Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at University of Toledo Gamma-Nu Chapter, and life member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid Michigan State Football fan and enjoyed attending NHRA races, shooting guns at various shooting ranges, and watching WWE with his sons.
Chad is survived by his wife Kayla; their three sons, Colton, Nolan, and Griffin; his parents, Gene and Theresa of Monroe; brother, Gene (Ashley) Varner, II of Shelby Twp., father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Rhonda Howard of Monroe; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16th at Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17th. Rev. Jacob Clawson, pastor of Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church will officiate along with Rev. Edward Howard. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in LaSalle, MI.
