Chad Neal Edmonds, 27 years, of South Lyon, MI formerly of Dundee, MI passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009. Chad was born July 19, 1981 in Monroe, MI the son of Lanny N. and Kathy J. (Brooks) Edmonds. Chad was a 1999 graduate of Dundee High School where he excelled in wrestling. After high school Chad enlisted in the US Army and served his country honorably and proudly from June 25, 1999 to March 26, 2002. For his meritorious service Chad received Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon and the Kosovo Campaign Medal. After his discharge from the US Army Chad received an Associates Degree in Business from Cleary College. On April 24, 2005 in Livonia, MI Chad married his loving wife the former Kristin E. Wild. Chad owned and operated C & L Specialized in Dundee, MI. Chad enjoyed dirt biking, boating and fishing and most of all his family. Chad is survived by his loving wife Kristin, his two children whom he adored, Shane N. and Lilah M. Edmonds, his beloved parents Lanny and Kathy of Maybee, MI his grandmother Joan Layton of Dundee, MI, 2 sisters; Lana J. (Mike) Tyrrell of Dundee, MI and Kate L. Edmonds of Maybee, 2 nieces; Courtney and Lindsey Tyrrell and his mother and father in law Edward and Claudia Wild of South Lyon, MI. Sadly, Chad was preceded in death by his grandfather Norman Brooks, his step grandfather Ira Layton, and his grandparents O.V. and Betty Edmonds. Visitation will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe, MI, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2009. The Rev. John E. Bussell former pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Milan will officiate. Immediately following the funeral service the VFW Post 1138 will conduct Military Honors at the funeral home. Interment will follow at London Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to establish an education fund for his children Shane and Lilah.
