Carrie Jo (Selvidge) DeLucia, age 41, of Carleton, passed away Monday, January 20th, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Carrie was born September 6th, 1983 in Monroe to Martin L. and Linda J. (Bonifacio) Selvidge. Carrie attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and was a 2001 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School where she met her best friend Laurence D. DeLucia Jr. The two were married on May 17th, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monroe, where she was a member.
Carrie went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business management from Sienna Heights University in 2016 and worked as an insurance agent at Cuccia Insurance Agency.
Carrie loved to take care of her family and cherished every moment that they spent together. She was very active in the MCES (Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools) PTO and spent many years volunteer coaching her daughters' volleyball teams. She combined her talents for cooking and crafting to throw beautifully decorated events, ranging from her children's birthday parties to her sisters-in-law's bridal and baby showers. Carrie was an avid dog lover and her dogs were always a major part of the family.
She is survived by her husband, Larry and their three children, Anna Marie, Lauren Elise, and Josephine "Joey" Lynn, all of Carleton; her mother, Linda J. Selvidge of Monroe; mother-in-law, Marianne (Keith) Garvin of Ypsilanti; father-in-law, Laurence DeLucia Sr. of Belleville; siblings, Martin D. (Julie A.) Selvidge of Dundee and Laura L. (Del) Pressotto of Carleton; nieces and nephews, Amanda Selvidge, Kristine Pazdzior, Gregory Selvidge, Nicholas Pressotto, Alaina Pressotto, Elijah DeLucia and Nolan DeLucia; Larry's siblings, Adam (Amanda) DeLucia of Newport, Nathan DeLucia of Romulus, Jacqueline (Nicholas) Pressotto of Belleville, and Veronica DeLucia of Bellville; and the family's cherished dogs, Brady, Brees and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin L. Selvidge; grandparents, Alfred and Anna (Didario) Bonifacio, and Leonard and Leona (Miller) Selvidge; and her beloved dog, Chandler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. She will lie instate at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Alan Zobler, OSFS officiating with Deacon Michael Stewart serving as homilist.
Contributions in Carrie's memory are suggested to Laurence DeLucia Jr. to supplement a college fund for Carrie's three treasured daughters.
