Carolyn J. Taylor, 71 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Lutheran Home surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born October 26, 1938 in Perrysburg, OH the daughter of the late Daniel A. and Dorothy I. (Shultz) Taylor Sr. Carolyn attended Monroe Public Schools, was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and in her younger years was in Rainbow for Girls. Carolyn was a very loving person who enjoyed animals, especially cats, crafts, knitting, crocheting, latch hook, baking and playing board games and cards. Carolyn was also a very giving person who volunteered her time at the Lutheran Home. Most of all Carolyn loved her family; she is survived by 2 caring brothers; Daniel A. (June) Taylor Jr. and Charles P. Taylor both of Monroe, 5 nieces and nephews; Carolyn L. (Jack) Qualls of San Antonio, TX, William C. (Jennifer) Taylor of Monroe, Charles P. Taylor Jr. of Monroe, Michael A. Taylor of Monroe, and Michelle McBee of Monroe 6 great nieces and nephews; Daniel, Alexandra, Mikayla, Darian, Allison and Emily. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating Carolyn's life will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Evans Bentley pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Lutheran Home or Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
