Carol L. (Payne) Fultz, 70 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She had been ill for several months.
There will be a celebration of life on January 24th, 2026, and a gravesite memorial, at a future date which is to be determined.
Born September 3, 1955, in Monroe Michigan, she was the daughter of Harry Payne and Marilyn Payne who proceeded her in death.
Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her husband and six children. Prior to starting a family, she worked as a waitress. She enjoyed home enhancements and updating the décor. Carol loved watching soap operas and movies. She loved cheerful things like keeping Christmas lights up all year. She loved to read romance novels, and she enjoyed bird watching. She also enjoyed yard sales, collectables and knick-knacks, cooking and country music, and her favorite artists were George Strait and Vince Gill. She also loved Elvis Presley.
Surviving are her six children, Jerry (Sheryl) Fultz Jr. of Toledo, Brian (Heather) Fultz, James Fultz, Michelle (Brandon) Wheeler, Randy Fultz, and Christopher Fultz, all of Monroe. Brothers, Donald (Bonnie) Payne, Doug (Cora) Payne, and sisters, Joanne (Jose) Alamo, Nancy (Michael) Goda all of Monroe, as well as four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
In addition, she was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Payne and brother Harry Payne Jr.
