Brian L. Lambrix, 42 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at 1:45 PM in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Brian had been seriously ill since entering the hospital 4 weeks ago. Brian was born August 20, 1966 in Monroe the son of Lloyd F. "Sam" and Carolyn M. (Prucka) Lambrix. Brian attended elementary school at St. Mary's Catholic School in Rockwood, MI and was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwood, MI. Brian was a 1984 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School where he played golf. Brian received his Bachelor's of Finance Degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Toledo Law School. Brian was a law partner with Lennard and Graham in Monroe until 2003 when he along with James Bartlett formed the firm Lambrix and Bartlett PLC. On November 23, 1996 Brian married the former Krista Sisung in Monroe. Brian was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #1266, Monroe Bar Association, Michigan State Bar Association, and the Eastern District of Michigan Federal Bar Association. Brian served on the SMCC Endowment Fund Committee and enjoyed playing golf. Most of all Brian's greatest joy and love was spending time with his two boys Jack L. and Nicholas J. Brian is also survived by his beloved mother Carolyn M. Lambrix of Monroe, his brother Lloyd D. (Brandi) Lambrix of Monroe, his sister Amy A. (Timothy) Janssen of Monroe, his grandmother Marie Prucka of Monroe and his nieces and nephews; Amber, Jared, Sydney, and Mikaela. Sadly, Brian was preceded in death by his father on November 26, 2007 and his grandparents Lawrence Prucka and Lawrence and Adeline Lambrix. Visitation will be held on Sunday and Monday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe. On Monday evening at 7:00 PM Sister Dorothy Krupp will officiate a Scripture Service. On Tuesday, June 16, 2009 he will lie in state at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until Mass of the Resurrection celebrating his life at 11:00 AM. Fr. Stephen Vileo, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Jack and Nicholas Lambrix Education Fund in care of Carolyn Lambrix – Trustee at 115 E.
