Brian David Jackson, age 40, of Ann Arbor passed away on February 13, at home under the care of Arbor Hospice.
He was born March 6, 1984, in Valparaiso, Indiana; the son of Monte K. and Julia M. (Niedzielski) Jackson.
He was a 2002 graduate of Airport High School and earned a marketing bachelor's degree in Professional Tennis Management from Ferris State University in 2007. Brian pursued his career at tennis clubs in the Chicagoland and Rochester, NY, areas, before returning to MI where he transitioned into retail. Brian last worked various jobs for MTS Burgess. He was an outgoing guy who made friends easily.
Brian enjoyed sports and evaluating team players. He could easily comment on football, basketball, and baseball players and teams. He spent many years playing and coaching softball on travel leagues in the downriver area. Spending time with his family and friends meant the world to him.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Monte and Norine Jackson of Maybee; two sisters, Sara (David) Shefferly of Ann Arbor and their daughter, Penelope; Lisa (Gregg) Parrish of Algonquin, IL and their children, Zachary, Emma, Alexis and Gavin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia, and his grandparents.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 from 2 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 6 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161. Rev. Lawrence Detruf will officiate. In accordance with Brian's wishes cremation has already taken place. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery White Cloud, MI with his mother.
