Beverly U. Stang, age 85 of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. She had been in declining health since suffering a stroke in November.
Born August 5, 1936 in Monroe, Beverly was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Cooley) Evans. She attended Monroe Public Schools and married Richard K. Stang on February 15, 1957 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 16, 1997.
Beverly gladly embraced her role as a homemaker, understanding the significance of being a devoted wife and mother.
Beverly is survived by two children, Mark (Shana) Stang and Sheila Stang, both of Monroe; two siblings, Dorothy Moore and Jack Evans of Monroe; grandson, Brock Stang of Westminster, CO; and great-grandson, Micah.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tara Stang; two brothers, Robert and Woodrow Evans; and two sisters, Laura Lee Dunmore and Geraldine June Carter.
A private chapel service followed by interment were held at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Bacarella Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral and cremation services.
