Betty E. Weatherholt, age 92, of Monroe passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at Aspen Grove.
Betty was born June 2, 1930 in Monroe, she was the daughter of James and Bernice (Freeland) Stump. She married Harlan Pillette March 17, 1952, he preceded her in death December 7, 1972. She then married Vincent "Stormy" Weatherholt October 17, 1981, he preceded her in death November 2, 2011.
She worked as a teacher's aide at the Monroe County ISD for 29 years before retiring in 1996. She then worked at Meijer from 1998 to 2005.
Betty loved to go to the casino and collected dolls.
She is survived by her four children, Gary (Sandy) Pillette of Monroe, Penny (Kevin) Bowman of LaSalle, Larry (Gail) Pillette of Monroe and Paula (Bobby) Gill of Monroe; a sister, Delores "Sis" McComas of Monroe; eight grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; infant son, Christopher; one granddaughter, Amber Pillette; one great granddaughter, Mary Emma Treadway and ten siblings.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Nate Click will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
