Obituary

Betty J. Nadeau, 78 years, of Hillsdale, MI formerly of Monroe, MI passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 at 6:10 PM in The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH. Betty had been in poor health since entering the hospital in December of 2006. Betty was born March 27, 1929 in Monroe, MI. the daughter of the late James and Virginia (Trombley) Jacobs. Betty attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was a graduate of Monroe High School. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Monroe. On February 5, 1966 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, she married Lawrence J. Nadeau. A former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe, Betty was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hillsdale. A homemaker, Betty enjoyed plate painting, ceramics, which she taught in Monroe at one time, crocheting which she taught at the Hillsdale Senior Center, shopping and reading. Betty is survived by her beloved husband Larry, 4 loving children; Larry G. (Norma) Stahl of Monroe, MI, James R. (Kristyne) Nadeau of CA, Robert L. Nadeau of Monroe, MI, Penny L. (William) Weller of Hillsdale, MI and a brother in law Daniel Bert of Monroe, MI, 11 cherished grandchildren and 13 cherished great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Bert. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at St. St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe, MI. where a Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM. Fr. Wm. Fisher pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillsdale Senior Center, St. Anthony's Food Bank, St. Joseph's Food Closet or a charity of the donors Choice.
