Betty M. Mack, age 89 of Monroe, formerly of Maybee and Dundee, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at IHM Senior Living Community. She had been in declining health for a month.
Born July 1, 1934 in Ida, MI, Betty was the daughter of the late Edward and Malinda (Bloss) Stoll. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1951 and married Wilmer D. "Bill" Mack on May 18, 1957 at St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded Betty in death on November 13, 2008. Together, they raised four children and managed their family farm in Maybee, MI.
Betty was a member of Divine Grace Parish in Maybee and attended St. Irene Catholic Church while residing in Dundee. She was also a member of Monroe VFW Post 1138 Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed reading, canning, and embraced being a wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver.
Betty is survived by two sons, Timothy Mack of Monroe and Retired Sgt. Major Thomas Mack of Riverview, FL; two daughters, Ann (Scott) Fleszar of Pinckney, MI and Denise (Scott) McConkey of Clawson, MI; six grandchildren: Natalie Mack, Brady Fleszar, Allison Fleszar, Nolan Fleszar, Dalton McConkey, and Oci Miranda.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Debi Mack.
Family and friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15th at Bacarella Funeral Home where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Betty will lie in state Friday at 9 a.m. at the IHM Motherhouse Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
