Betty A. Burt, age 64 of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in her home.
Born August 8, 1959 in Monroe, Betty was the daughter of the late Donald and Retha (Kelly) Rorke.
Betty was employed by Kroger and Foodtown as a department manager for many years where she always enjoyed talking to the many customers. She was also a licensed cosmetologist and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, remodeling houses, and interior design.
Betty is survived by three children, Marvin (Jessica) Burt of Monroe, Robert (Alice) Burt of Caryville, TN, and Darrell Burt of Monroe; a brother, Michael Rorke of Monroe; four grandchildren, Hailey, Hunter, Trent, and Chloe; her two best friends of 50+ years, Shirley and Nita; and her beloved dog Jojo.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ann Forwerek.
Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements through Roselawn Memorial Park. No services are planned in accordance with Betty's wishes.
