Betty L. Beauman 82, of Monroe, passed away Saturday evening, June 5, 2010, in the Mercy Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1927 in Tipton, MI, the daughter of Ernest and Alma (Fisher) Tiede. She was a 1945 graduate of Adrian High School and moved to Monroe. On October 18, 1948, she was united in marriage with Harold E. Beauman in Blissfield, and he survives.
Betty was a secretary employed by Detroit Stoker for 17 years, also a beautician; she attended the Michigan College of Beauty. She also attended Monroe County Community College. A proud homemaker, she was known to be a great cook, enjoyed knitting, and was involved in Cub Scouts as a den mother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, 4 sons; Harold E. (Cynthia) Beauman of Pittsburg, TX, Gregory T. (Sandra) Beauman of Corona, CA, Kevin E. (Cynthia) Beauman and Jeffrey E. Beauman, both of Monroe, 3 sisters; Norma Cox of Jackson, MI, Joann Hoelter of Perrysburg, OH, and Katherine Hosler of Adrian, MI, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers; Julius and Herbert Tiede.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road, from 2-9 PM. She will lie in state on Thursday at the Redeemer Fellowship Church, 5305 Evergreen Dr, Monroe, at 10 AM until a Celebration of her life at 11 AM. Rev. John Piippo, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her name may be given to the Redeemer Fellowship Church.
