Bernice M. Moore, 88 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 5:20 am in Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center in Monroe under the wonderful care of Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
Born May 8, 1922 in River Rouge, MI, Bernice was one of four children; Charles, Robert and Clarence, born to the late Charles and Mary Anne (LeTourneau) Fouchey.
During World War II Bernice worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant. Bernice moved to Monroe in 1966.
Bernice worked for 12 years as a custodian for the Jefferson School System until her retirement in 1985.
Bernice enjoyed bowling and most of all spending time with her family.
Bernice is survived by 2 loving daughters; Carol A. Moore of North Port, FL, and Evonne M. (Douglas L.) Loop of Monroe, 4 cherished grandchildren; Christie (Ian) Sutherland, Brian Crumm, Timothy (Paula) Loop and Brandy (Chad) Morin, and treasured great grandchildren; Chelsea and Kayla Sutherland.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe from 1:00 pm until funeral services celebrating her life at 4:00 pm. Private interment services will be held at Michigan Memorial Park.
