Barbara J. Carr, age 89, of LaSalle, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 in her home.
Barb was born September 29, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Peter and Marjorie (Miller) Allore. She married Donald H. Carr on October 24, 1953. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1995.
A 1952 graduate of Waite High School, Barb worked for Toledo Public Schools as a paraprofessional until her retirement in 1994.
Barb was a member of LaSalle Presbyterian Church and their Earnest Workers group. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, watching movies, reading and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children, Kimberly Montgomery of Toledo, Matthew (Melinda) Carr of Monroe and Jon Carr of Holland, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Christine Carr of Toledo; ten grandchildren: Amanda (Sean) Murray, Bethany Montgomery, Ashley (Brandon) Wilson, Gregory Carr, Caleb Carr, Austin Carr, Connor Carr, Dylan Carr, Lucas Carr and Noah Carr and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Mark Carr and Gregory Carr; great grandson, Rex Wilson and six siblings.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
