Arthur Mininni, 79 years, of Monroe, MI went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in his home. Arthur had been in poor health for the past ten years.
Born December 27, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, Arthur was the son of the late Alfred and Santa (Paris) Mininni. Arthur moved to Monroe in 1976.
Arthur served his country honorably and proudly in the United States National Guard.
Arthur was employed as a pipefitter for Union Local 671 Plumbers and Pipefitters in Monroe from which he retired in 2003.
Arthur was a very social person who enjoyed being around people. He enjoyed playing racquetball, bowling and traveling. Most of all Arthur enjoyed family.
Arthur is survived by four loving children: Robert (Lisa) Mininni of Staten Island, NY, Arthur F. Mininni, Joseph Mininni and Cynthia J. Mininni all of Monroe, nine cherished grandchildren: Stephanie, Joseph, Vincent, Anthony, Karley, Christopher, Makenzie, Joseph, and Nicholas, a brother: Peter (Rona) Mininni of Staten Island, NY and a sister Alma Sannuto of Florida. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph and Alfred.
Arthur's family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10:00 AM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe where a memorial service celebrating his life will be held that afternoon at 2:00 PM. Fr. Stephen Vileo, pastor of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church will officiate.
