Arlene M. (Gaynier) Francisco, 89 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Fountain View of Monroe.
Born July 23, 1933 in LaSalle, Michigan, Arlene was the daughter of the late Albert and Julia (Grams) Valerio. She attended Monroe Public Schools and was a graduate of Monroe High School.
Arlene's first marriage was to George Gaynier in November of 1952. On October 7, 1988 Arlene married her beloved husband, Charles Francisco. Sadly, he preceded her in death on March 12, 2000.
Arlene was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking, especially baking for her family. Later in life she enjoyed working outside her home as a teachers aid at both Lincoln and Orchard Schools, in the deli at Hi – Lite Fresh Market and at McDonald's. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, flowers, and dancing. Most of all Arlene loved time spent with family.
Arlene is survived by seven loving children: Deborah (Albert) Conner, Michael (Wendy) Gaynier, Diane Fore, Cathy (Norman) Johnson, Mark Gaynier, Margaret Miller, and Mary Gaynier, seven cherished grandchildren, 18 treasured great grandchildren and two adored great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe, Michigan, 48161, on Friday, May 5, 2023 beginning at 9:30 am followed by funeral services celebrating Arlene's life at 11:30 am. Private interment will be held at Ash Township Cemetery.
