Annette Ellison, 93 years of Monroe, MI passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:35 PM in Tendercare of Monroe where she had been for the past 4 weeks. Annette had been in poor health for several years. Annette was born December 2, 1913 in Speedwell, TN the daughter of the late Jesse and Emma (Ausmus) Russell. On October 1, 1931 in Middlesboro, KY Annette married Clyde W. Ellison. Sadly Clyde preceded her in death on December 18, 1995. A homemaker, Annette also worked as a vendor for the American Greetings Company in Ypsilanti, MI for 13 years. Annette attended Church of God Mountain Assembly and enjoyed gardening, canning and all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Annette is survived by 3 loving children; William J. (Karen) Ellison of Jackson, MI, Mary L. (Linford) Price of Milan, MI and Emma J. Matias of Maybee, MI, a sister Malinda Russell Owens of LA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Annette was preceded in death by her son in law John P. Matias, a grandson and several brothers and sisters. Visitation for Annette will be held on Sunday and Monday from 3-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home. On Tuesday April 24, 2007 she will lie instate at Church of God Mountain Assembly from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Rick Massingill and the Rev. Fred Cornelius will officiate. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
