Ann Mary Becker, age 85 of Dundee, MI, formerly of Monroe, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 in her home.
Born December 28, 1937 in Rochester, MI, Ann was the daughter of the late Daniel and Clara (Walsh) Fetterly. She graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1956 and married William R. Becker on June 14, 1958 at St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2008.
For approximately 30 years, Ann was employed by local surgeon, Dr. Dale Douglas, as office manager. She was a member of Divine Grace Parish (St. Joseph Church) in Maybee.
Ann was known to be a pleasant, even-tempered lady who enjoyed driving her golf cart on the family farm, shopping, and sewing. As a seamstress, she often made clothes for her daughter until she graduated high school.
Ann is survived by two children, Mary Ann (Paul) Sawyer and Rick (Dawn) Becker, both of Monroe; two siblings, Mark (Brenda) Fetterly of Monroe and Karen (James) Iorizzo of The Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Anna Sawyer, Todd (Jessica) Sawyer, Veronica (C.J.) Lazarz, and Anthony Becker; two great-grandchildren, John and Reagan.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ann is preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, David, Patrick, and Charles Fetterly.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12th at Bacarella Funeral Home where Deacon Tracy Esper will lead a Scripture Service at 5:30 p.m. Ann will lie in state at 10 a.m. Monday at Divine Grace Parish (St. Joseph Church) in Maybee. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by the church pastor, Rev. Fr. Michael Woroniewicz. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maybee.
