Amy Mechelle Beason, 56 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord along with her granddaughter, whom Amy and Brian adopted as their daughter, Ahlona J. Beason, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in front of their home.
Born November 29, 1969, in Monroe, Amy was the daughter of Gerald M. and Rosemarie (Myers) Marlow. Amy attended Monroe Public Schools and received her GED from Monroe High School.
On June 15, 2013, Amy married her beloved husband, Brian J. Beason, at their former home, on Evergreen Drive in Monroe, under the willow tree.
Amy owned and operated ABC Cleaning Services in Monroe for both residential and commercial cleaning. Prior to owning her own business, Amy delivered Monroe News newspapers for 14 years. She attended Monroe Full Gospel Church.
Amy was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting. She was excellent at interior design and decorating. She also enjoyed shopping, antiquing, garage sales, tending to her animals and flea markets. Nothing brought more joy to Amy than time spent with family. Amy always had a house full of kids and grandchildren.
Amy is survived by her beloved husband of 13 years, Brian; four loving children, Christopher Hayter, Brianne Hayter; two of her grandchildren that she and Brian adopted as their own, Ariona and Ashton Beason; three cherished grandchildren, Christopher “CJ” Hayter Jr., Hadley Hayter, and Adeline Hayter; her father, Jerry M. (Cherie Emerick) Marlow and her person, Brittany Sarratt.
Along with her daughter Ahlona, Amy was preceded in death by mother, Rosemarie Myers; her son, David Hayter; her brother Gerald Marlow; and her sister, Rhonda Morris.
Visitation for both Amy and Ahlona will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 2-7 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where on Friday, August 14, 2026, funeral services celebrating both their lives will begin at 11:00 am. Rev. Harold Raines, pastor of Monroe Full Gospel Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery in Monroe.
