Allen Douglas "Doug" Bray, age 69 of Monroe, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. He had been in declining health the past eight years.
Born February 22, 1955 in Jellico, TN, Doug was the son of the late Frenchie and Lois (Simpson) Bray. He attended Airport Public Schools and was employed from 1973-2008 as a machine operator at the Chrysler Trenton Engine Plant.
God and family were foremost in Doug's life. He always looked forward to family vacations, dinners, or other gatherings. He enjoyed listening to music and deer watching at Sterling State Park.
Doug is survived by three siblings, Linda DeLormier of Monroe, Frenchie (Fay) Bray, Jr. of Montgomery, MI, and Donna (Clyde) Fields, Jr. of Monroe; two brothers-in-law, Carson Young and Ron Servey, both of Monroe; and a long list of wonderful, loving nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Young and Mary Servey; sister-in-law, Katherine Bray; brother-in-law, Gary DeLormier; nephew, Adam Servey; and his best friend Buster, his pet dog.
Family and friends may visit from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29th at Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Brenda Jackson of Stewart Road Church of God will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
